convert to saltwater

Was thinking about getting rid of above ground pool(too much work maintaining). Some said i should consider converting to salt. pool is 12,000 gal above ground in new england (full sun no shade). Looking at  ***"***Intex 120V Krystal Clear Saltwater System CG-28669 with E.C.O. (Electrocatalytic Oxidation) for Above Ground Pools"  for around $150 . it seems pretty cheap. and i’m wondering about pros and cons of this type that goes inline on piping for the the filter vs the one INYO sells (Clor-Ease) that hangs on the pool wall.

Hello Tonyp41 - We don’t sell the Intex Krystal Clear system but we take several calls about that product. It’s usually people looking for parts or to replace. We can’t help them with the parts and we usually recommend another salt system. Something like the Chlorease is a good option for pools with steel walls. It’s easy to install and maintain. Most people usually get a year or two out of that system.

If you’re looking for something more durable, we recommend the Hayward AquaTrol. They cost more but you get what you pay for when it comes to salt systems.
