I’m ready to install a new
VGREEN165 pool pump motor and have been counseled that it’s advisable to replace the gaskets and shaft seal at the same time. Have run searches for parts individually and kit form but all that comes up are for the “bigger name” brands… Pentair, Hayward, etc. Does anyone know a vendor who stocks these items for Century pump motors? None of the others indicate that they are compatible with my pump motor so I’m kind of at a standstill right now. Thanks folks!
We do advise replacing the seals when replacing the motor, but note that the seals are specific to the model of the pump model rather than the motor on the pump.
We have a great guide on How To Find The Correct Pool Pump Shaft Seal and, if that doesn’t help you, just let us know the pump model number and we would be happy to help. You can also post a few pictures of the pump here if the sticker fell off years ago.
I located the I.D. tag on the pump but am unable to be sure what the numbers are… if you can decipher them correctly and further assist me, I will greatly appreciate it… thanks very much!

We can work with that! It looks like the model number of your pump is SP2610x15 which designates it as a Hayward Super Pump 1 1/2 HP Single Speed so the Hayward Super Pump Seal Kit - Model GOKIT3 will be perfect. You can get the heavier-duty Hayward Super Pump Saltwater Seal Kit - GOKIT3SALT if you have a saltwater pool.
