I have a single phase 120V 1 hp pool pump on a Hayward pump - not sure what model.
I believe it was struck by lighting or just quit.
I’d like to replace it with a variable speed (at least a 2-speed pump) - and was looking at the ECM16SQU. My pool is only 16000 gallons, so I don’t think I need it that big - is this available in a 1 HP that operates on 120V?
If not is there something similar to use?
Hi Gaylen,
There is not an 115V volt variable speed motor, however, there is a 2 speed 115V replacement motor that may work for you. Could you supply me the make and model of your Hayward Pump, this would be something like Super Pump, Super II, Power-Flo, Max Flo, etc… also could you supply the specs. off of the motor label like volts, amps, s.f., h.p, etc…
Finally, if you wanted to post some photos of your pump and motor label then please post to this thread by clicking on the mountain icon in the text editor or by replying to the email. Below I have posted a screenshot of how to post images to this thread.

Thank You
Patrick

I can’t read the label on the Hayward Pump - it is too deterioated as you can see here.
I can tell you its more than 10 years old, and the pool 12-16,000 gallons (14 x 30 x 4 deep)
Is there another way to determine the pump model so I can get the correct gasket?
Hi Gaylen, can you supply two more photos a wider shot showing the complete pump with lid and basket and a second which is a very close up shot of the motor label.
Thank You
Patrick
