Noticed pool light not working, removed bulb and was blown. Replaced bulb worked okay for a couple of weeks but wasn’t turned on maybe 3 to 4 times, now will not work again, found bulb to be blown but when replacing my wife was holding the light housing and said it shocked her, when I checked for current the housing would show current if checked in certain area. Can it be repaired?
Hi Andymc123,
I’m sorry to hear the issues about your pool light. First off you need to be very careful when working with pool lights, always make sure to turn the power off at the breaker when you are replacing the fixture or replacing the bulb. The pool light fixture can be replaced and we have a good Video on How To Replace a Pool Light Fixture which you should find helpful.
If you could post a few photos of your pool light to include the label on the back of the light where the cord attaches to the fixture then this would be helpful for us in determining the proper replacement light for you.
