Can I use Pentair 1.5HP single speed w/ Pentair WhisperFlo 1hp 2speed pump?

Hi,

I currently have the Century Pentair WhisperFlo WFDS-4 1HP 2 speed motor/pump combo, install 2009.

Motor not working.

Can I replace current 1HP 2S motor with the 1.5HP Single Speed motor, keeping existing pump??? Please advise.

My pool approximately 15,000g w/ ~30ft return lines, the 1HP didn’t seem adequate enough, I’d like to increase motor HP without replace pump, if possible.(pool originally had a 1.5hp Single speed motor).

I need to purchase immediately, please advise, I’m going to switch out the motor myself, thanks to awesome instructions on this site :smiley:
