I purchased a replacement board PL7100. The instructions for recalibrating aren’t the same as the OG Hayward board, not to mention they don’t make sense. "Push the diagnostic button until ‘Instant Salt’ appears on display. The display never shows any words, let alone instant salt. I’m assuming it’s 5 or 8 button pushes, but, looking at the display, it’s not making any sense. Does anyone have experience with this board? Salt in pool is measuring 3000 but board is saying 2400 (and thus shutting off and not producing chlorine with the sLO error. The salt cell is a Hayward TCELL925SWP. Board is set to T-9.
Thanks in advance!
I apologize for the delay in a response! Here are the correct instructions for calibrating the PL7100. We will correct the online instructions and the manual ASAP.
-
Press the “System Status” button nine times until you find “E***” on the display board.
-
Move the “Chlorine Output” dial to 100%, then down to 50%. The “E” should begin to flash. When you see the “E” flashing, you can move the dial from 50%-0% to lower the salt level or 50%-100% to increase it.
-
Press the “System Status” button once to set.
-
You are finished when you see “-AA”.
-
The next time you enter the recalibration screen (Step 1), the display will show the amount you recalibrated. For example, If you increased the salt level by 400 ppm, E400 will be displayed.
Please note that the system can be calibrated up to -800/+800 ppm at max.
