just put in new Tri Sensor and get warning message. ‘Bad Temp sensor’. Chlorinator working but not correct salt level and doesn’t show temperature. Did I get a bum sensor? Bought it from inyopools but can’t get them on the phone. Over an hour wait.
We are sorry about that - it was a little crazy here yesterday and some times of the day are worse than others.
Was the same error showing before it was replaced? Are the contacts clean and in good condition? I would double-check the cable from the tri-sensor to the control box. Disconnect and check the connectors for bent pins and then reconnect them making sure you have a solid connection, and examine the entire length of the cable for cuts or nicks.
Hi Rich, thanks for your response.Wires and connection look good on Tri sensor. I did pull out the cord next to Tri sensor cord , it that attaches to the cell, and it has two brown marks on two of the connectors. I ordered a new chord and hoping that will fix the problem?? I’m on the phone again waiting to get through to your customer service, one person ahead of me but it’s now 6:10pm so doubt that I will get through. Before the new sensor was put on I had a ‘no flow’ message. Once new Tri senor went in got ‘ Warning- High Temp’, for like one second then immediately changed to ‘Bad Sensor’ message. ‘ Any suggestions ? I should have the new cell power chord in a couple days. All your self help point to Tri sensor for that message though.
Lets hope the new cord fixes it. They can have issues as they get older since they are all low-voltage connections.
I’m sorry about the chat support wait times. We do close at 6:00PM Eastern time so you probably did not successfully get through.
