aquapod remote battery

Hi, my Aquapod II remote dies after one minute off of the charger.  The battery is supposed to be rechargable and cannot be replaced.  What is the best solution here, besides paying $500 for a new remote?  Thanks!

As far as I know, replacing the Aquapod II remote control is the only option. I’ll contact our Hayward rep and see if there are any other alternatives. I will post back to the forum once I get a response.

Below is the quote we received from Hayward.

Thank you for your email inquiry. If the remote has a full charge on the charging station and is not staying
on while off of the charging station, then the only option would be to replace the remote. The internal battery source is non-replaceable.
