I have an very old Aqubot pool rover for above ground model E1590, ser# 4700099. That had worked great for years. It has stopped moving as the pump motor does not come on? My root question is which part needs to be replaced? the Pump motor or the power supply?
The power supply out put is a constant 32volts AC it never changes even when the timer cycles?
The pump motor never turns on?
I’d like to repair it but do not want to order a part I do not need? Please help if you can.
Thanks Phil

Hi PhillipM,
If you are getting 32 volts out of the power supply then the power supply is good. You may want to plug the cleaner cable into the power supply and then test the voltage at the end of the cleaner cable to make sure the cleaner cable is good. A few other areas to check are the plug receptacle on the power supply as well as the motor. Here is a great video to watch for some really good troubleshooting tips…
Thanks I have 32 volts AC coming out of the power supply but only 19volts at the far ennd of the power cord?
I have continuity on each wire and no shorts? However, I do have the power drop from 32 volts down to 19 Volts? Does that make any sense?
Please let me know what you think? Thanks Phil
You may want to try and hook the power supply up directly to the cleaner bypassing the cable and see if the cleaner works. If it does work then your know it is your cable or your plug. This is shown at minute 5:00 of the video.
