I have an Aquacal heater that appears to be leaking from the top of the condenser. The water seems to be coming from a round piece that is covered in heat shrink and secured with a zip tie on the bottom. I will attach a picture for reference. I appreciate any help you may be able to offer.
Update. So I pulled the part and found the problem. A rupture at the bottom of the sensor well was causing water to leak up past the sensor. Obviously I’ll be ordering a replacement, hoping you guys can help me locate the correct part. I am assuming I will need the grease as well. I have attached a picture of the model info.
In the interim. Would it be safe to use a thin layer of waterproof epoxy compound on the bottom where the rupture is? If so, what type of grease that goes in the well would I replace with.
With Labor Day weekend coming up I really need the heater operational and I don’t know if the replacement part will arrive in time.
