From the AO Smith pool motor manual:
Rotation (Rot): Rotation is the direction the shaft turns.
Almost all swim pool pump motors turn counterclockwise
when looking at the motor from the end where the
pump is located. This can be referred to as CCWPE.
The CCW means counterclockwise, noit sure what the PE stands for.

So I think the entire CCWPE listing just means counter clockwise rotation.
