Im looking for advice regarding my pool pump. I have an oval, above ground pool that measures roughly 18’ x 36’ and it is 48" deep . My existing pump is old and is an Aquatools dual speed pump. The sticker on the pump says it is 1-1/6 hp. When running on high, the pump shuts itself off after about 10 minutes . Then it turns itself back on .When running on low, the pump runs perfectly fine but I don’t think I’m getting the circulation needed to properly clean the pool. Any recommendations for repair/replacement?
Thank you for contacting Inyo. We would recommend replacing the pump with the Pentair Dynamo model 340204. This is a 1Hp 2-speed pump. It does not come with a cord but you can use your existing cord and wire it up the same way.
