Above ground pool pump

I have a pump with labels Hayward SW15851X20TL and AO Smith Century 1081 SP1520Z1ESC.Part number is 7-193554-01. It is labeled as 2HP SF=SPL, 115VR48Y frame.

This pump started making a ton of noise this season. It’s been running for over a month, but the noise has me concerned that there is something wrong that I need to reair.

Can you provide me with guidance for how I can find an equavalent pump on your site? A friend suggested that it sounds like my bearings.

Additionally, I would like to upgrade the pump to a 2-speed. Could you recomend a comprable 115V 2-speed motor?

Hello Wes - Thank you for contacting Inyo. Your current pump is actually a 1.5HP. It is not uncommon for these pumps to be labeled with the incorrect HP. We know it’s a 1.5HP based on the 7-193554-01 number.

You can replace your pump with Hayward model SP15932S. This is a 1.5HP 115v 2-speed pump. The pump comes with a standard 3-prong plug but you can swap it out with your existing twist lock plug.
