230V wiring for a new pump

Hello,

I have a 230V Circuit and it has a RED, BLUE, AND GREEN wire coming from the conduit.  I know the GREEN is the Ground Wire, but I’m not sure which connection to attached the RED and BLUE WIRE.  Red to L! and Blue to L2, or the other way around?  Or does it matter which goes to which?

Hello Mark - Thank you for contacting Inyo. It won’t matter which “hot” line goes to L1 and L2.  So you can put red on L1 and blue on L2 or vice versa.
