Goodafternoon, I’m looking for help with older ta 35d model filter tagelus deluxe sand filter, the problem is we have to prime the trap with a gallon or to to get water flowing up to pump, and when we shut of it sends a 2 ft strem of water thru the pool basket, and we have to prime again to get pump going? also blows alot of air thru outlets in pool, can anyone help? thankyou for your time Geno( any marines in the house? )

This sounds like more of an issue with your pump and less to do with your filter. The o-ring between the pump lid and the basket base will stretch out over time and eventually will not seal properly. This will allow air to enter the basket area when the pump shuts off and while the pump is running. You will need to identify the make and model of your pump to find the correct lid o-ring. You can always email us at support@inyopools.com or call us at 1-877-372-6038 if you need assistance identifying the correct part. Once your o-ring has been replaced, you will want to make sure that you lubricate the o-ring with a recommend pool o-ring lubricant. Please do not use petroleum based lubricants as the deteriorate your o-rings.
