I have a 15000 gallon in ground pool with combination of oil boiler and solar heating. The pump needs replacing and I a keen to change to salt chlorination. I am also tempted to add a waterco multi cyclone.

You suggested in an earlier question that I fit a Crystal Pure salt system which makes sense. Am I better getting the larger capacity one, which I think is about to be available? Also what pump would you recommend to cope with the above and my sand filter?

Any other suggestions welcome.

Hello IanGriff - We always recommend going with the larger capacity salt system. The salt cell will last longer and it will do a better job of keeping up with the chlorine demand.

As far as the pump, we recommend the PureLine 1.65HP Variable Speed Pump Model PL2605. This is the most energy efficient style pump available.

Hello IanGriff - You had sent us an email asking why we recommended the PL2605 over the PL1615. We recommended the PL2605 because it is more durable and the replacement parts are more readily available.
