i had water coming out the backwash and around the handle of my hayward pro series pump model number 71114. and i would have to wiggle it and mess with it till it would stop .so we changed the spider gasket .my question is when i push down on the handle now water comes up around handle and out the backwash. i havent turned pump back on yet was letting the gasket glue dry .
i have bought the gaskets to fix handle but when i do fix that is it normal for water to come out back wash when you press down on handle or is spider gasket not right ? as soon as you lift back up on handle it stops was just concerened.new at this
