I am trying to decide on a system to use for my 30K gallon inground concrete pool. I was looking at the ozone generator system and wondered if I could use a salt water chlorinator as the secondary system. Would this even work and if so what equipment do you recommend?
We have found the best success with just using the Salt System as your primary sanitizer. I personally like this 40,000 Gallon Salt Pool System The way the salt system works is that you plumb the salt cell in your plumbing and then add salt to your pool. When the diluted salt water passes through the electrolytic salt cell the reaction creates chlorine which is sent back to your pool.
The nice thing about the salt system is that the chlorine that is produced does not have any chloramines. The reason no chloramines is important is because chloramines are responsible for the negative effects of traditional chlorine like red eyes, itchy skin, and chlorine smell. With a salt system, you don’t need to worry about purchasing chlorine tablets, liquid chlorine or shock as the salt system manufactures all of your chlorine. So, in short, our suggestion is to just go with a salt system.
Thank You
