I have a Jandy CL580 filter with a AOSMITH SQ1102 1HP. (was given to me)MHP1.O wet side.The diffuser was melted and o ring,impeller looked like it might of had a o ring?.back plate has grooves where a screw came loose.Filter unions pipe were cut close.gage fried.Filters and tank excellent,pump housing fittings great.motor good.I bought a diffuser,pipe,gauge.I put all these in and fired up system,it almost reaches full prime then it shuts down,click click the motor sounds.Help!!!.

Can you supply the model # of the pump as well the specifications of the motor you have. It sounds almost like the impeller is oversized for your motor causing the motor to overheat and shut off. Also if you could pull a part # off of your impeller that would be most helpful.
