Hello - The pump and filter do not need any special items to plumb them in. Standard plumbing supplies is all you’ll need. Do you need other items like diverter valves, chlorinator or pump timer?
As far as the heater, do you need a natural gas or propane model? Are you lower or higher than 2,000’ in elevation? Do you have a salt water chlorinator? This will help us detemine the correct heater model.
Hi we are higher than 2,000 elevation, natural gas and no salt water chlorinator.
Hello - The Raypak model is 009221. This is a 266k btu Natural Gas model for 2,000’-6000’ in elevation.
OK one last question. Will all of these things work fine together and if you were installing a pool in your backyard in colorado are these the things you would use?
All of these things will work together and yes I would use these products on my own pool. Thank you for shopping with INYOpools.com!
Thank you for all of your help!
Glad we could help!
Hi we are now going to use saltwater not chlorine, will all these items that we purcahsed from you still work?
Raypak model is 009221
Hello bmsolano - Those items will work with a salt water system. However, the heater you ordered has a copper heat exchanger. The copper heat exchangers are more susceptible to salt corrosion. The preferred heat exchanger would have been cupro-nickel.
If you intend to use your current Raypak model 009221, we stronger recommend keeping your pH balanced. Also, we recommend using a zinc anode. This will help protect the heater from corrosion.
Thank you
