I have a Jandy CL580 filter.
–Question 1: the Top Spacer (SKU 357700) is missing. How important is the Spacer? What is its function?
–Question 2: the Breather Tube Assembly (SKU 358700) has a short (1.5"), small (3/8" square) rectangular section at the top end, and inside this section is what looks like plastic “netting.” On one of the four sides this “netting” is partially deformed. How important is this, and do I sooner or later need to replace the Breather Tube Assembly?

I also have the Jandy CL580 filter and do not have a spacer and my netting on the breather tube is torn on all sides. I have had it this way for several years without any issue. I posted the question about the netting a few years ago and got a response stating the purpose of this part and that it was not an issue, but for the life of me, I cannot find the response saying the exact reason why. If I run across it I will let you know, but for the time being, I think you are fine.
