Is the heat pump suppose to cut off when the pool filter pump is turned off? When I first started using the heat pump it did that but now it does not.

Hello Dennis - The HP50TA and any other heat pump should be off when the pump is off. It should not continue to run while the pump is off. Was anything changed in the wiring of the pump or heat pump? Are you getting any error codes?
