Gunite Patch recommendations

New Polaris has damged step corners on pool, by getting stuck and grinding the gunite away. Yes folks, the Polaris is definitley the culprit. I’ve stopped the issue for now by cementing pieces of pool cover offcut onto the front of the Polaris and playing around with the direction jet until I think it no longer gets stuck. My questions is I need some sort of pliable repair material to repair the damage, see pic attached. What would fit the bill?

Pool is 16 years old so Polaris would say the plaster is weak…but it isn’t coming off anywhere else only where the Polaris got stuck and the rubber wheel ground away the plaster.

Thanks

Hi Limey69,

Wow your Polaris is a beast! =) We have used this SGM Dynamite Pool Patch in the past with good results. We do carry the Dynamite Pool Patch here. SGM is also pretty helpful so you may want to contact them direct for any tips… they can be contacted at https://www.sgm.cc/html/contact.html

Thank You

Thanks Patrick, I’ll take a look. I also saw some sort of material that comes in a ‘caulking tube’ style container. So I’m assuming that no material is dispensed until you are holding the ‘caulking gun’ right on the area. With that said if the Dynamite Pool patch material stays together whilst it is underwater for a while then that should do it. Thanks!

Limey69 let us know how it turns out, we would love to see photos of the completed repair or even of the repair in process.

Thanks

Patrick

OK :-), I tend to be good at ‘assemblies’, dismantling, rebuilding etc. Crafting things can go awry at times, but we’ll see how it goes. I’ll see if it’s worthy pf a pic post. Thanks for the help.
