what is the difference in the filter grids model numbers 195086 and 59023400
Hi Johnny,
The 195086 De Grid Assembly is used on the Pentair and Pac-Fab FNS48 and INS48 Nautilus Filters where the 59023400 De Grid Assembly is used on the Pentair and Pac-Fab FNSP48 FNS Plus Filters and the Titan RPM Filter.
I believe the grids are the same on the two assemblies but the top and bottom manifolds are different meaning you must purchase the one designed for your filter or it will not fit. I hope this helps.
Thank You
Patrick
My filter is a Nautilus FNS Fiberglass DE filter but it does not give the size indicator so I am not sure which grid assembly to purchase. My unit is approx. 45" from the black base to the top of the unit with a circumfrence of 60 inches. How do I know which model I have since it does not appear on the unit label? The manual choices are: FNS 24; FNS 36; FNS 48 and FNS 60. Does the model go by the circumfrence which is 60 so my unit would be a FNS 60? If not, how do I determine the right part number to order? I don’t want to open the unit until I have the replacement parts so I am trying to figure out what to order before I get ready to do the job. Thanks
Hello Frederick - The circumference of the tank does not have to do with the filter size. The circumferences are the same on all FNS models. You’ll need to take the grids out of the tank and measure the height of them.
FNS24 - 12" Tall Grids
FNS36 - 18" Tall Grids
FNS48 - 24" Tall Grids
FNS60 - 30" Tall Grids
